How do I sign up for KOMUNI?

Can I migrate data from my existing system?

Yes! KOMUNI includes a data migration wizard that imports data from spreadsheets (Excel, CSV), other property management software, and manual records. Our team can also assist with custom migrations for larger communities.

How long does setup take?

Most communities are up and running within 24 to 48 hours. Basic setup (community profile, unit listing, and member invitations) takes about 30 minutes. Full data migration, including financial history and documents, typically takes one to two days depending on data volume.

Is KOMUNI available in Filipino (Tagalog)?

Yes, KOMUNI supports both English and Filipino. The interface language can be switched per user preference, and community announcements can be posted in any language.

Is there a free plan?

Yes. KOMUNI offers a free tier that includes basic financial tracking, member management for up to 50 units, and community announcements. This is ideal for smaller communities or those wanting to try the platform before upgrading.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept GCash, Maya (PayMaya), credit/debit cards (Visa, Mastercard), and bank transfers. For annual plans, we also accept check payments. All transactions are processed securely through our payment partners.

Can I change plans at any time?

Absolutely. You can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time. When upgrading, the price difference is prorated for the remainder of your billing cycle. When downgrading, the new rate takes effect at the start of your next billing period.

Do you offer discounts for annual billing?

Yes, annual billing saves you approximately 20% compared to monthly billing. We also offer special pricing for multi-community management companies and developer groups.

Can homeowners pay dues through KOMUNI?

Yes. KOMUNI integrates with GCash, Maya, and credit card payment processors so homeowners can pay their dues directly through the platform. Payments are automatically recorded and matched to the correct unit and billing period.

How does the maintenance request system work?

Homeowners submit maintenance requests through the app with descriptions and photos. Requests are automatically categorized and prioritized. Management can assign requests to staff or vendors, track progress, and close them when resolved. Homeowners receive status updates throughout the process.

Yes. KOMUNI generates comprehensive financial reports including income statements, balance sheets, accounts receivable aging, and reserve fund analysis. Reports can be exported to PDF or Excel for board meetings and DHSUD compliance filings.

Can we manage violations through KOMUNI?

KOMUNI includes a complete violation management workflow: documentation with photos, automated notifications at each stage (courtesy notice, formal warning, hearing, enforcement), and full case history tracking for consistent and fair enforcement.

Can we hold virtual meetings through KOMUNI?

KOMUNI provides meeting management tools including agenda creation, document sharing, proxy management, and voting. While it does not host video calls directly, it integrates with your preferred video conferencing platform and handles all the governance aspects (quorum tracking, vote recording, minute generation).

How is our community data protected?

KOMUNI uses enterprise-grade security: all data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256). We use Supabase for our database infrastructure with Row-Level Security (RLS) ensuring that users can only access data for their own community. Regular security audits and penetration testing are conducted.

Who can access our financial data?

Access is controlled through role-based permissions. Board members with the treasurer or admin role can access full financial data. Regular homeowners can view their own payment history, community financial summaries, and published reports — never raw financial data or other homeowners' individual records.

Is KOMUNI compliant with Philippine data privacy laws?

Yes. KOMUNI complies with the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act 10173) and its Implementing Rules and Regulations. We have appointed a Data Protection Officer, maintain a privacy policy, and implement technical and organizational measures to protect personal information.

Can we export our data if we leave KOMUNI?

Absolutely. You own your data. At any time, you can export all community data including financial records, member information, documents, and maintenance histories in standard formats (CSV, JSON, PDF). We believe in zero lock-in.

Is there a mobile app?

KOMUNI is built as a Progressive Web App (PWA), which means it works like a native app on any smartphone or tablet without requiring installation from an app store. Simply visit the site on your phone and add it to your home screen for a full app experience.

Core features like viewing cached announcements, member directories, and community documents work offline through PWA caching. Payment processing and real-time features require an internet connection, but the app queues actions and syncs automatically when connectivity is restored.

KOMUNI supports all modern browsers including Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge (latest two versions). On mobile, it works with Chrome for Android, Safari for iOS, and Samsung Internet. We recommend keeping your browser updated for the best experience.
